Released in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine Recently, a scholarly study performed by a team of experts led by Jennifer Elston Lafata, Ph.D., co-innovator of the Cancer Avoidance and Control system at Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Middle and professor of interpersonal and behavioral health at VCU, found that 46 % of eligible and due services were missed during PHEs.This means that wellness PBMs and plans could be unaware of certain controlled material prescriptions for a few individuals, and thus do not have all the information necessary to take steps to handle inappropriate utilization or abuse.
